Alison, the company owner, will personally visit you at your home to discuss the work on your rocking horse before you decide if we are the best team to work on your treasured horse. Before our visit, please email with photos of your horse or phone and we can discuss all aspects of the restoration process.
Famously, rocking horses, even those from well-known makers, are poorly marked, though more commonly the ravages of time have obliterated any markings. Even then there are still key identification points; years of acquired knowledge have taught us exactly what to look for.
Once we have established the maker and provided you with our expert advice, it is over to you. With our guidance you can tell us exactly how you envisage your horse to look upon completion of restoration.
Not everybody wants a 100% restoration. Whilst most of our customers want to preserve the original features and character of their horse, occasionally we are asked for a complete new look, a very recent example being a horse featured below. Despite it being a collectable Lines Sportiboy, the customer fell in love with our zebra photograph and requested the full transformation.
Once your rocking horse's restoration is complete, and only when you are entirely happy with the horse, we will arrange delivery. We provide before and after images and a valuation certificate signed and dated by ourselves.
